Terms, privacy and data handling — Patrick

Terms, privacy and data handling.

Written to be read. The same discipline as everything else Patrick does: plain statements, on the record.

Effective date: August 13, 2026 · Operated by Patrick Inc., 100 Innovation Dr #441, Winnipeg, MB R3T 6G2 ("Patrick," "we," "us")

01 — Terms of use

Terms of use

1. Acceptance

By accessing this website you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the site. We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do, and continued use after a change is acceptance of it.

2. What this site is

This site describes Patrick's services — the Exposure Assessment, the Maturity & Roadmap, and Build & Operate engagements. It is information, not an offer capable of acceptance. Every engagement is governed by its own signed agreement (a statement of work, services agreement or equivalent). If anything on this site conflicts with a signed agreement, the signed agreement wins.

3. No professional advice

Content on this site — including descriptions of risk, governance, compliance and measurement — is general information. It is not legal, tax, accounting, security or other professional advice, and you should not act on it without advice specific to your situation.

4. Results and representative material

Sample documents, run records and figures shown on this site are representative and redacted or illustrative unless expressly stated otherwise. Measured results depend on your processes, systems and baseline; we commit to a measurement method in each engagement, not to a number in advance.

5. Intellectual property

The site, its text, design and marks belong to Patrick or its licensors. You may view, link to and quote briefly with attribution; you may not republish substantial portions, scrape at scale, or use our marks to imply endorsement without written permission.

6. Acceptable use

Do not attempt to breach, probe or overload the site; do not submit unlawful content through our forms; do not misrepresent who you are when contacting us.

7. Form submissions

When you describe a process to us, send only what you are entitled to share. Do not include personal information about others, credentials, or client-confidential material in a website form — that exchange belongs under a signed confidentiality agreement, which we will put in place before any detailed discussion.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Patrick is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the site, and our total liability in connection with the site is limited to CAD $100. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Liability within an engagement is governed by that engagement's signed agreement, not by these terms.

9. Third-party links

Links to third-party sites are provided for convenience. We are not responsible for their content or practices.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Manitoba, Canada, and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it. Courts of Manitoba have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes about this site.

02 — Privacy policy

Privacy policy

We collect the minimum, use it for the purpose you gave it to us, and sell nothing. This policy is written to comply with PIPEDA and comparable provincial privacy law.

1. What we collect

Only what you submit: your name, company, work email, and the process description you choose to share. The site sets no advertising trackers. Basic technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) may be kept by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

2. Why we collect it

To respond to your inquiry, scope a potential engagement, and — only if you ask — keep you informed about Patrick. We do not use website submissions for any other purpose.

3. What we never do

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not pool your information with other firms' data. We do not use your information to train external models. The same boundaries we publish for engagements apply to this website.

4. Who processes it

Submissions are handled by our website hosting and email providers acting as service providers under contract: [HOSTING PROVIDER], [FORM/EMAIL PROVIDER]. Their storage may be located outside Canada; where it is, your information is subject to the laws of that jurisdiction.

5. Retention

Inquiry records are kept for up to 24 months after our last contact, then deleted, unless an engagement follows (in which case the engagement's records schedule applies) or law requires longer.

6. Your rights

You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to leigh@heypatrick.ai and we will respond within 30 days. You may also complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

7. Cookies

The site uses no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. If we add analytics, it will be privacy-preserving, cookie-light, and disclosed here first.

8. Accountability

The Privacy Officer (Leigh) is accountable for this policy. Questions and requests: leigh@heypatrick.ai, or by mail at 100 Innovation Dr #441, Winnipeg, MB R3T 6G2.

03 — Engagement data handling

How engagement data is handled

The commitments below summarize the standard terms every Patrick engagement starts from. The signed agreement for your engagement is the binding version and prevails over this summary.

Ownership Your context, rules, workflows, evidence and operating history remain your assets — during the engagement and after it ends.
Separation Customer information is not pooled across firms, resold, or used to train external models. Access inside your firm follows your roles, entities and locations.
Model use Models are selected per task within the security, performance and cost boundaries agreed with you — frontier, specialized or privately deployed — with no dependency on a single provider.
Evidence Every material source, approval, action and result in a Patrick run is recorded and attributable, and the record is available to you.
Exit If an engagement ends, you keep the Operating Map, the records, and the documentation. Return or destruction of your data is completed on the schedule in the signed agreement.
